Michael Buble Tribute Band
Ask Michael Bublé how he felt going in to record his third studio album, 'Call Me
Irresponsible', and this artist with 11 million albums sold and two Grammy
nominations under his belt can sum it up in one word.
“Terrified,” he says simply. Terrified?
This was the exact same reply we got when James was asked to try and fill the
shoes of the 11 million album and two Grammy award winning artist's shoes. But
he added “I’m very excited and very honored as Michael Buble is probably my biggest
inspiration musically.”
The Michael Buble Tribute Show is less of a tribute and more a re-enactment and
direct replication of the man himself. Hailed a very close sound alike is not enough,
members of Michael Buble's camp agree that James is a great representative
and ambassador for Michael Buble.
James has earned his right to perform in this amazing exhilarating show of such
huge songs. James has grown as an artist from years singing in workings men’s
clubs and smokey lounges, weddings and corporate events and even musicals, which
have really honed his performance skills. “ You have to connect with the audience,
that’s what its all about, being on stage and entertaining people. My inspiration, like
Michael’s comes in many forms, people like Elvis Presley. Ella Fitzgerald, Dean
Martin, Bobby Darin and Sammy Davis Jnr. They act, they sing and they dance
and they made people laugh. They were entertainers. Buble was so right, when he
said that it’s a lost art now.”
